24.177.707 APPLICATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF TOPICAL MEDICATION (1) All topical medication shall be applied or administered by a licensed physical therapist in accordance with 37-11-106 , MCA, by: direct application, iontophoresis, or phonophoresis. (2) All topical medication shall be applied or administered as prescribed by the licensed medical practitioner. (3) All topical medication shall be applied or administered in accordance with generally accepted practices in the physical therapy field and in keeping with educational techniques in use at schools properly accredited by the commission on accreditation in physical therapy education (CAPTE) .
