32.9.305    UTENSILS AND EQUIPMENT

(1) Utensils, milk cans, milking machines (including pipeline systems) , and other equipment used in the handling of milk shall be maintained in good condition, must be free from rust, open seams, milk-stone, or any unsanitary condition, and must be washed, rinsed, and drained after each milking, stored in suitable facilities, and sanitized immediately before use with at least 50 p.p.m. chlorine solution or its equivalent. Such solution must be tested after use. New or replacement can lids must be umbrella type. All new utensils and equipment shall comply with applicable 3-a sanitary standards. Farm bulk tanks shall meet 3-a sanitary standards for construction at the time of installation and must be installed in accordance with the rules of the department. Single service articles must be properly stored and may not be reused.
