8.97.1708 PUBLIC INTEREST CRITERIA
(1) In determining whether a project is in the public interest, the local
government or the board shall consider whether the proposed project:
(a) increases job opportunities;
(b) retains existing jobs;
(c) diversifies the economy of the state
and locality in which the project is located;
(d) is consistent with 17-5-1502,
MCA; and
(e) complies with the local government's
ordinances, resolutions, or regulations pertaining to the issuance of
industrial development revenue bonds, if any.
