1. On February 23, 2024, the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) published MAR Notice No. 12-625 pertaining to the public hearing on the proposed repeal of the above-stated rule at page 304 of the 2024 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 4.

2. On March 22, 2024, FWP conducted a public hearing on the proposed repeal of the above-stated rule as scheduled, and no members of the public appeared to provide comment. FWP held the meeting open for additional time before ending the hearing around 10:20 a.m. Shortly thereafter, FWP received notice from members of the public waiting on Zoom to comment and reporting receiving the message that the meeting never started.  FWP then called into the meeting provided in the proposal notice and received the same message. Due to the technical difficulties experienced, FWP committed to holding another public hearing and extending the public comment period on the proposed action.

3. On May 3, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the FWP will hold a public hearing via the ZOOM meeting platform to consider the proposed repeal of the above-stated rule.  There will be no in-person hearing.  Interested parties may access the telephonic public hearing in the following way:
