37.115.306    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR PERSONS PREPARING PLANS FOR REVIEW

(1) Plans, specifications, and supporting data for design of a new pool, spa, or other water feature or for reconstruction or remodeling of a currently operating pool, spa, or other water feature must be prepared by a professional engineer who is registered in Montana. The licensed professional engineer shall include his seal and signature on any plans and specifications submitted to the health authority. Stamps or seals may be provided electronically.

(2) Plan specifications and supporting data for any facilities related to operation of a pool, spa, or other water feature, such as restrooms or bathhouses, may be submitted by a licensed architect or by a registered construction contractor as long as the design meets all applicable building codes and as long as all applicable permits have been obtained.

(3) Any plans for any slide structure must be reviewed and approved by a structural engineer licensed in the state of Montana and the plan for the slide must include his seal.
