37.57.307    INFANT BORN OUTSIDE HOSPITAL OR INSTITUTION

(1) When an infant has been born outside of a hospital or other institution and has not subsequently been admitted to such a facility for initial newborn care, it is the duty of the person required in 50-15-201 , MCA, to register the birth of that child to cause the blood specimen to be taken not later than the seventh day of the child's life, unless medically contraindicated, in which case it shall be taken as soon as the medical condition of the infant permits.
